							<p><strong>Gumgum Cup</strong> is a local multiplayer video game project, developed in <strong>Unreal Engine 4.27 </strong>for PC. <span class="yt-core-attributed-string yt-core-attributed-string--white-space-pre-wrap" dir="auto"><span class="yt-core-attributed-string--link-inherit-color" dir="auto">The game focuses on the physical manipulation of <strong>bubble gums</strong>. Chew to recharge, bounce on gum strings, or protect yourself with bubbles. Use every chewing gum state to your advantage to eliminate your opponents!</span></span></p><p>The project was carried out by a complete development team, including 2D/3D artists, game designers, programmers, and producers. I served as the sole sound <strong>designer</strong> and <strong>music composer</strong> for the project. My responsibilities included implementing sound assets using <strong>Wwise</strong> and integrating most sounds through <strong>Unreal Engine&rsquo;s Blueprints</strong>.</p><p style="text-align: left;">I also managed the <strong>recording sessions</strong> for character voices and announcement voices, in addition to cleaning the samples afterward. To create chewing gum sounds, I <strong>crafted props</strong> to generate the necessary sound materials, such as slime, melted candies, balloons and oobleck.</p>						</div>

							<p>I composed the entire original soundtrack for the game, drawing inspiration from 1980s Japanese fusion bands like <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casiopea">Casiopea </a>and <a href="https://en.namu.wiki/w/Dimension">Dimension </a>to create a musical universe that aligned with the game’s <strong>vibrant</strong> and <strong>colorful</strong> artistic direction.</p>						</div>

							<p>The biggest challenge of this project was managing the <strong>mix for a local multiplayer party game</strong>, which required careful consideration of which sounds were most important for <strong>user feedback</strong>.</p><p>To <strong>prioritize</strong> these sounds, I utilized <strong>specific buses</strong> in Wwise, allowing critical sounds to <strong>duck other sound effects</strong> and the music, ensuring they stood out. It was also essential to give depth to the four characters, making their <strong>voices distinct</strong> from one another. This was achieved by choosing clearly<strong> identifiable voice</strong> <strong>acting</strong> for each character.</p><p>Finally, the <strong>interactive music system</strong> relies on <strong>layering</strong>: we have a base music layer for each round, and when a character takes first place, they activate their unique music layers. <strong>A solo layer is attached to the player, tracking their position</strong> to better <strong>indicate where the leader is</strong>, in addition to the crown they wear.</p><p>The integration of all these details made the game&rsquo;s audio <strong>clear and coherent</strong>, even amidst the dense and chaotic nature of each match.</p><p>Overall, this experience was incredibly enriching from both a human and technical perspective.</p><p>You can download the PC build in the following link:</p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://isart-digital.itch.io/gumgumcup">https://isart-digital.itch.io/gumgumcup</a></p>						</div>

							<p><strong>Water Sounds</strong> is a <strong>free collection</strong> of ocean sounds, river sounds, and water stream sounds. I recorded these water sounds during a road trip around <strong>Iceland</strong> in 2021. I used a <strong>Zoom H5</strong> and a couple of Line Audio <strong>CM3 </strong>microphones,<strong> ORTF </strong>configuration, with Rycote Baby Ball windscreen.</p><p>My goal was to provide users with water sounds that can loop seamlessly to create long water ambiances.</p><p>The library includes <strong>45 water loops</strong> with perfect start and endpoints. The sounds are provided in <strong>48kHz, 24 bits, stereo WAV </strong>format. The total runtime is 40 minutes.</p><p>The included sounds are <strong>UCS-compliant</strong> and have embedded metadata.</p><p>Through this project, I explored <strong>field recording</strong> and learned about the challenges associated with capturing sound in outdoor environments. I gained insights into the <strong>UCS standard</strong>, discovered how to effectively organize and sort samples, and learned how to <strong>create metadata</strong> for proper categorization. 							<p>Caedes is a <strong>short film</strong> created by students from ISART Digital. Sound plays a pivotal role in shaping the <strong>narrative</strong> and conveying the main character’s <strong>psychological distress</strong>.</p><p>The team consisted of <strong>4 animation artists</strong> and <strong>4 sound designers</strong>.</p><p>I <strong>led the audio team</strong> for this project, coordinating with the film team to establish a <strong>coherent artistic vision</strong>. I <strong>managed</strong> the <strong>audio production process</strong>, assigning tasks and ensuring <strong>smooth collaboration</strong> within the audio department. I also produced all the <strong>foley work</strong>, including <strong>breathing sounds</strong>, and handled the <strong>complete</strong> <strong>sound mix</strong> for the film.</p><p>Through this project, I gained valuable experience working <strong>closely with the film team</strong>, reviewing each scene in detail to align sound design with the visuals. This tight collaboration required a lot of <strong>teamwork</strong> and adaptability to achieve the desired <strong>emotional tone</strong>. I also developed strong skills in <strong>mixing</strong>, balancing the different elements of the sound assets to enhance the overall impact of the film.</p>						</div>

							<p><strong>Miw&rsquo;s Legacy</strong> is a student-led video game project developed in <strong>Unity</strong> for PC.
